#MaxwellWill - An Update

A word from Amber -

Since we first wrote about Maxwell, he has completed radiation and is halfway through his second (out of 9 total) chemo cycles that will take place over the next 21 weeks. His hair started to thin out from the chemo, so he got his first real haircut. We didn’t want to make his hair falling out anything sad, so we made cutting his hair a little party instead. He laughed the whole time, as the clippers buzzing around tickled his head. Even though we have a long road ahead of us, Maxwell is such a warrior and we are confident this is just a bump in the road and that #maxwellwill overcome this!

It has meant so much to us to receive so much support from you, our grabease family, and we are so excited to be able to make a donation thanks to your help, which will go towards childhood cancer research.

In our first update, we mentioned a few different ways to give back (learn more here). One more non-profit I want to bring some attention to is Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, which offers yummy giftable options for the holidays! I found this company when trying to think of a good gift idea to send Maxwell’s radiation team, and I absolutely love that they donate 100% of the profits from their cookie sales to childhood research. The recipients of the cookies I sent also confirmed that they were delicious which is also important ! When you buy the cookies, you have the chance to choose a specific area of research you’d like the donation to go to, which makes the process even more special.
