International Left-Handers Day!

Today is a special day that has been celebrated since 1976 to celebrate the uniqueness of the 10% of the population that are southpaws! The day was celebrated to raise awareness of the advantages and disadvantages that many left-handers face in a predominantly right-handed world. 

Did you know that humans are the only species with handedness? Stop me before I turn into Bill Nye the Science Guy. 

Fun facts:

• Some of the most popular inventors were left-handed like Isaac Newton and Benjamin Franklin. 
• Multi-tasking comes naturally to left-handers (I wish I had that ability)!
• Lefties are good artists and usually follow creative careers.
• Lefties have better hearing and are better fighters ...Ummm, have you heard of Mike Tyson (Although he was taught to fight with his right hand. Don’t get me started on this story.)?
